Parkour Robots

The Atlas team at Boston Dynamics recently showed off the improvements to their robots. They did this by taking two of their robots and performing various parkour stunts—things like running across balance beams, banked walls, and so on.

When first watching these robots move, your mind goes to CGI; seeing actual robots move in the way these do does not seem possible. The video demonstrates the various moves the robots can now do and how controlled they are in the movements.

The August 17th video ends with two robots doing backflips and celebrating their run. All in all, the video is fascinating to watch.
