Pfizer gets FDA Approved
On August 23, 2021, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced its full approval of the Pfizer covid19 vaccine for those ages 16 and up. The Pfizer vaccine has been in the emergency use authorization stage while the FDA continued to do their tests.
Full FDA approval is a big step in ending the covid19 saga because there are many that have been waiting for full approval before getting the vaccine. The approval could lead to a significant increase in the percentage of vaccinated Americans.
Moderna started their approval process about a month after Pfizer, so full approval on that is likely weeks away.
Johnson & Johnson has yet to submit a Biologics License Application to get full approval from the FDA.
