Labor Day

On the first Monday of September, the United States celebrates Labor Day. We honor those that fought for the labor rights we have now. Things like the 40-hour work week, having sick days, no child labor can all be attributed to the labor rights movement.

The first Labor Day was celebrated in 1882 in New York City and became an official holiday in 1894.

Being the unofficial end to summer, Labor Day weekend is usually the last hooray before settling in for the Holiday season ahead.
