Bush at War Book Series
On November 18, 2002, Bob Woodward released the first of a four-book series on George Bush and the impact of the 9/11 attacks. For those unfamiliar, Woodward is one of the journalists responsible for breaking the Watergate story and has received nearly every major journalism award available. In the first book, Bush at War, Woodward covers the events leading up to 9/11 and how the government reacted on the day and the following days.
This book is a must-read for anyone wanting more information on what the government knew and when. Woodward was able to get access that some would say is too much, having interviews with every significant person involved and multiple hours-long interviews with President Bush himself. Other important figures include Dick Cheney, Colin Powell, George Tenet, Condoleezza Rice, and Donald Rumsfeld.
The series goes; Bush at War, Plan of Attack, State of Denial, and finally The War Within.
