Minnesota Half-Marathon
On August 7th, the Minnesota half-marathon is back after taking last year off due to covid. While the furthest distance is a half-marathon, 13 miles, there are also several other options to choose from. A ten-mile, five-mile, 5k, and kids run (half a mile) are all different running options. Beyond those, there is also a half-marathon rollerblade option.
The skate will start at 7 a.m., half-marathon and ten-mile runners at 7:15, five-mile at 7:45, 5k at 8, and the kids run at 10. All races will start and finish at the Upper Landing Park in Saint Paul.
After the races, you will be treated to gear bags and refreshments, with the final results coming in the next few days. Each age group will earn a first, second, and third-place medal, available for pick up at the Running Room in Saint Paul. The age groups are, under 19, and from there every five years until 80 and above. 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, and so on.
Not only is it a fun event, but you will also be helping the Ronald McDonald House - Upper Midwest. Its mission is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children.
