Anonymous Investigative Journalist

One of the most famous journalists in Ghana, no one knows the identity of. Anas Aremeyaw Anas is a Ghanian Journalist that uses his anonymity to his advantage in the stories he investigates.

Starting as a journalist in 1998, Anas is still working on discovering corruption wherever he can. He has uncovered corruption and bribery in the judicial system, resulting in over 100 staff being investigated and ultimately 13 high court judges, 20 lower court judges, and 19 judicial registrars and interpreters.

Anas has received Ghana’s Best Investigative Journalist award three times, in 2005, 2006, and 2008. He received Ghana’s Most Influential award four times, in 2011 and from 2013 to 2015. In 2016 Anas received the Journalist of the Year award.

Most recently, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has vowed to continue to go after the corruption facing Ghana, posting to Facebook, “Dear all, As we ready ourselves for 2021, let us not forget that we have only one Ghana! For the thieves who pilfer our national kitty with impunity and abuse human rights, there will be more fire on you in 2021.”
