2021 Tokyo Olympics

While the opening ceremony may be a few days away, on July 23rd, the unofficial start of the 2021 Tokyo Olympics kicking off tonight with qualifying for softball and tomorrow qualifying for football (soccer).

The US softball team will take on Italy tonight, at 10 p.m. ct. The match will be the second competition of the Olympics, behind only Australia versus home-town Japan in softball. That match will start around 7 p.m. The women’s next match will be 7 p.m. on the 22nd and will face our rivals to the north, Canada.

For football, the USA only has one team competing their women’s team, with the men’s team failing to qualify. The US women will take on Sweden tomorrow at 3:30 a.m.

The first medal will be awarded on July 24th, and from there, medals will be handed out every day until the end, the closing ceremony is on August 8th.
